Sound as musical practice
As an audio engeneer, I have worked on a wide range of music productions for many years — from acoustic ensembles, concerts and orchestral recordings to film scores, studio sessions and location work. Depending on the project, I either accompany the entire production process or focus on individual stages such as recording, editing, mixing or mastering.
As an active musician and multi-instrumentalist, I approach recording not only as a technical process but from the perspective of the music, the performance and the people making it.

I had the honor of mixing and mastering Rowing on the Wind: Two Eggs for a Nursery Rhyme by Xiao He & The Nursery Rhyme Program Band. The album reimagines 15 traditional Chinese nursery rhymes and folk songs.
